I Just Realized Something:

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.

He has his food prepared for him.

His meals are provided at no cost to him.

He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup and again during the year, if any medical needs arise.

For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.

He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.

If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.

He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.

He receives these accommodations absolutely free.

He is living like a king and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.

All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living.

I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks ~

(Customer) BallAid ?
 
(Receptionist) Yes, golf balls are a right, everyone has a right to golf
balls.  So, if you can’t afford them, then the government will supply them
free of charge.
 
(Customer) Who said they were a right?
 
(Receptionist) Congress passed it, the President signed it and the Supreme
Court found it Constitutional.
 
(Customer) Whoa…..I don’t remember seeing anything in the Constitution
regarding golf balls as a right.
 
(Receptionist) There’s no explicit mention of golf balls in the
Constitution, but President Obama is a former constitutional scholar and he
believes it would have been included if the Constitution had not been
drafted by a bunch of slave-owning white men.  The Democrats in the Congress
and the Supreme Court agree with the President that golf balls are now a
right guaranteed by the Constitution.
 
(Customer) I don’t believe this…
 
(Receptionist) It’s the law of the land sir. Now, we anticipated most people
would go for the Silver Package, so what is your monthly income sir?
 
(Customer) Forget it, I think I will forgo the balls this year.
 
(Receptionist) In that case, sir, I will still need your monthly income.
 
(Customer) Why?

First the Tennessee Legislature took big steps at weakening the education takeover. Now Indiana has gone from federal standards to a state-based curriculum. The state rejected Common Core standards.

This was a tremendous victory for grassroots activists and more importantly, the kids. For months, conservatives in Indiana told their lawmakers to kick Common Core out of Indiana. Not only did the State Legislature listen, Governor Mike Pence also got the message: top-down standards for education leave kids worse off. 

Grassroots activists got on the phone and made their elected officials listen. They defeated Common Core by not giving up, and making the case for locally-controlled education.

Hoosiers’ rejection of Common Core could open the floodgates for more states to opt out. That’s why we need to celebrate this victory and thank Governor Pence. His leadership was a key factor in stopping the education takeover.

Georgia House Nullifies Obamacare

This week, the Georgia State House voted to nullify ObamaCare. That’s right: Georgia lawmakers voted on a bill to make it illegal for state or local law officials to enforce ObamaCare.  Over the past month, activists in Georgia made hundreds of phone calls to their State Representatives and told them to reject the health care takeover. Over 300 phone calls were made and the law passed in the Georgia State House with an overwhelming majority of 115-59. The Republican Majority in the State Senate ought to pass the measure as well.
Once again, the passing of an ObamaCare nullification bill in Georgia’s State House shows just how much the American people are fed up with the health care takeover. They’re tired of the taxes, tired of losing their health care coverage, and tired of Washington getting between them and their doctor.
Georgia is leading the fight to stop ObamaCare. The passing of the bill sets the stage for others states to follow. States like South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and Oklahoma are already considering similar legislation. And if ObamaCare is stopped in other states, it will be because of the hard work of thousands of conservative activists like you.
The ObamaCare nullification bill would have never passed the Georgia State House without the hard work of activists like you. This was a grassroots fight, and a grassroots victory.

Fighting for the Future of Kentucky Coal

Kentucky families depend on coal to keep the lights on. That is why I am glad that the House passed legislation I cosponsored which provides a future for the coal industry with benefits for the environment and American economy. 

H.R. 3826, the Electricity Security and Affordability Act, would roll back the EPA’s disastrous greenhouse gas standards that essentially ban coal on principle, and requires the agency to acknowledge that different fuels and technologies need different standards tailored to the available control technologies. This legislation would allow the EPA to issue standards based on demonstrable, commercialized technology because as even Kentucky’s top climate policy official warned the EPA, “they need to look deeper and look at the economic impacts because one size doesn’t fit all here.” 

This is a major step toward preventing the EPA’s attempt to turn the lights out on Kentucky families and our economic recovery.

Four Simple Questions

We have seen several of these type of e-mails over the last 5 years and yet, who knows what the truth really is? Obviously, our ‘national justice system’ doesn’t seem too interested it exposing the ‘truth’.   Anyway, just thought that I would share it and let you draw your own conclusions.  For those of you who want to challenge every thing like this one that have been sent around, “NO”, I have NOT verified or ‘checked it out’ with anyone else nor do I intend to do so.  Just HIT ‘DELETE’ if it starts to upset YOU to the point that you feel you have to ‘throw up’ on your keyboard.  No need to ruin your keyboard or IPAD.

Personally, I DON’T KNOW if Obama is a “natural born citizen” or not. However, there IS enough of a question that I DO believe that IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED !

There has been too much “following the Leftist Playbook” for me not to wonder. The “Leftist Playbook” tactic is, If you can’t win buy using the facts, you win by calling the opponent a “Racist”, ridicule, demean, or ostracize him. 2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama’s birth as August 4, 1961 & lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama’s birth, it also shows that his father is 25 years old, and that Obama’s father was born in ” Kenya , East Africa “. This wouldn’t seem like anything of concern, except that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two years after Obama’s birth, and 27 years after his father’s birth. How could Obama’s father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the “British East Africa Protectorate”. (check it below)

3. On the Birth Certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is “Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital “. This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called “Kaui Keolani Children’s Hospital” and “Kapi’olani Maternity Home”, respectively. The name did not change to Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

4. Perhaps a clue comes from Obama’s book on his father. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I’m not a math genius, so bear with me. Barack Obama’s “birth certificate” says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when Obama was born. That should have put his father’s date of birth approximately 1936 – if my math holds. Now we need a (non-revised) history book to verify that WW II was basically between 1939 and 1945. Just how many 3 year olds fight in Wars? Even in the latest stages of WW II his father wouldn’t have been more than 9 years old.

The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth’s atmosphere in just four days – yes, FOUR DAYS – by that volcano in Iceland has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon.  And there are around 200 active volcanoes on the planet spewing out this crud at any one time – EVERY DAY.

I don’t really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should mention that when the volcano Mt. Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it spewed out more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth.

Yes, folks, Mt. Pinatubo was active for over one year – think about it!!!!

Of course, I shouldn’t spoil this ‘touchy-feely tree-hugging’ moment and mention the effect of solar and cosmic activity and the well-recognized 800-year global heating and cooling cycle, which keeps happening despite our completely insignificant efforts to affect climate change.

And I do wish I had a silver lining to this volcanic ash cloud, but the fact of the matter is that the bush fire season across the western USA and Australia this year alone will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years.   And it happens every year.

Just remember that your government just tried to impose a whopping carbon tax on you, on the basis of the bogus ‘human-caused’ climate-change scenario.

Hey, isn’t it interesting how they don’t mention ‘Global Warming’ anymore, but just ‘Climate Change’ – you know why? It’s because the planet has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past few years and these global warming bull artists got caught with their pants down.

And, just keep in mind that you might yet have an Emissions Trading Scheme – that whopping new tax – imposed on you that will achieve absolutely nothing except make you poorer.  It won’t stop any volcanoes from erupting, that’s for sure.

Dear Citizens,

Warrentless wiretapping of Americans. Record-breaking budgets. Spiraling new debt. Ever-increasing taxes. Corruption. Kickbacks. Out-of-control spending. It sounds like a political science horror film. But unfortunately, that’s about all we’re getting these days from Washington, D.C.

My name is Greg Brannon, and I’m running for the United States Senate to put the brakes on the out-of-control federal government and restore our God-given liberties.

I’m writing you today to introduce myself, tell you about my campaign, and hopefully, earn your support. I know you care just as much as I do about the future, so I want to know what you believe are the critical issues facing our state and nation.

I’ll get to the nuts-and-bolts of the issues in just a moment, but first let me take a moment to introduce myself to you on a more personal level. My younger brother and I were raised by a single mom in a working class neighborhood. She always set an example of hard work and determination. Her rules were simple — “go to school, go to church, or I’ll kick your butt.”

As a young boy, I always dreamed of becoming a doctor, and as a testament to my mother, in 1978, I earned a scholarship and became the first member of my family to go to college.

My wife, Jody, and I have been married for 25 years, and we have been blessed with seven beautiful children. Six girls and a boy. In 2004, God placed the idea of adoption on our hearts — and I’m proud to say that our three youngest girls were all adopted from China. Jody and I first moved to North Carolina back in 1992.

As a scratch golfer — and a life-time fan of Senator Jesse Helms — North Carolina was at the top of my list of where I wanted to live, work and raise a family.

So when UNC-Chapel Hill’s Area Health Education Center (AHEC) offered me a job in 1992, Jody and I decided we would make North Carolina our home.

And it’s been one of the best decisions of our lives. Over the last 24 years, I’ve been blessed to work as an Obstetrician — which means I’ve had the privilege of helping to bring more than 9,000 babies into the world. Like most North Carolinians, I believe in the traditional American values of individual liberty, hard work, personal responsibility, and faith in God and family.

And Jody and I do our best to instill these values in our children. But Jody and I don’t just teach our children traditional values — we also do our best to lead by example.

That’s why — whether coaching sports, leading a men’s Bible study group, volunteering at the local crisis pregnancy center, helping start a private Christian school, or traveling the world on Christian medical missions — I’ve spent time helping others.

But with the madness coming out of Washington these days, quite frankly, I’m concerned for my children’s future.

Of course, deciding to run for U.S. Senate wasn’t the easiest decision I’ve ever made. I’ve never held — nor run — for political office before. But as a father of seven beautiful children, and a doctor who can tell you the full nightmare ObamaCare will be, I can’t sit on the sidelines any longer and watch the establishment destroy our children and grandchildren’s future.

It seems like the establishment politicians have downright forgotten what made this country great. But it’s not just the big spending Democrats who are to blame for the mess our country is facing. Establishment Republicans are also at fault.

The Republican leadership in Washington has continually caved in to Barack Obama on everything from increasing the debt ceiling to weakening the filibuster to raising our taxes.

I won’t be that kind of Republican.

I’m not running for Senate to join the “good ole boys network” or become a member of the Big Government Republican establishment.  I’m running for Senate because, like the majority of North Carolinians, I’ve had enough of federal bureaucrats in Washington sticking their noses in our business.

I don’t want a government that seeks to control citizens from the womb to beyond the tomb (Death Tax).

I want to get Washington out of North Carolina.

If elected to the U.S. Senate, you can count on me to:

Cut Taxes. High taxes stifle innovation, destroy production, crush the middle class and the poor, and discourage investment. Every American is entitled to the fruits of their labor, and getting our government off our backs is the key to getting our economy moving again;

Protect our Second Amendment Freedoms. The Second Amendment is clear — the right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed. I will lead the fight to protect our God-given right to keep and bear arms, and will work to fully restore the gun rights of law-abiding North Carolinians;

Protect North Carolina’s Sovereignty. The federal government must be restrained by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and must stop regulating activities that are not within its authority;

Defend the Life of the Unborn. As a doctor who has delivered over 9,000 babies, I know firsthand how precious, fragile, and in need of protection human life is. I pledge to support all legislation that will reduce and end the horror of abortion in the U.S., both federally and at the state level.

My campaign platform isn’t complicated. I’m not running to create some new and expensive government program that will “fix” your life. I believe you should be in charge of your life and the money you earn. Of course, that’s not exactly “music to the ears” of the special interest lobby and establishment politicians in Washington.

They want to keep spending sky-high. And they want to elect and re-elect politicians who will keep the treasury doors open.

In this Senate election, they know I’m not “their guy.” I’m not running to represent them. I’m running to represent you. In times like these, I believe its critical good folks like you and me stand up for what’s right. We need more citizen-statesmen. We need fewer career politicians.
