This morning I lucked out and was able to buy two boxes of ammo. I placed the boxes on the front seat and headed back home, but stopped at a gas station where a drop-dead gorgeous blonde in a short skirt was filling up her car at the next pump.

I find this short article very interesting. If true, this means that Fed Chair Yellen will have an opposite strategy as compared to Bernanke when all along it was expected to be more of the same. The mandate of the Fed is full employment and stable prices (think stable dollar). Bernanke’s quantitative easing was a de facto policy of devaluing the dollar to gain export advantage and to keep federal interest payments low. Problem was, it seems every industrialized country in the word had a similar policy. It was a race to the bottom for all the major currencies. This is why China refuses to revalue (strengthen) its currency.

Yellen is signaling that interest rates are going to rise. Short of war in eastern Europe, which I think is possible, war between China and Japan, which I think is highly unlikely in the short-term, or a catastrophe with the stock market, which is quite possible, I believe the Fed will begin to raise both the federal funds rate and discount rate before the year is out. It will be telling to see how hawkish the Fed will be with the first rise; will it be a quarter point rise or a half point? I’m betting on the latter.

Inflation is beginning to raise its ugly head. Between January 1 and February 28 of this year, food prices increased nineteen percent. That is not an annualized number, that is a real nineteen percent. Yellen believes the inflation genie’s head is out of the bottle and I think she will try to stuff it back in.

I had not realized the demographics in Japan were so dire. I expect the same thing to happen to China in the years to come due to its one-child policy, a policy that now seems to be ending. Perhaps we should send our illegals to Japan.

Illinois vs Oklahoma

PART 1 –  Illinois 

“A State with No Republicans!”  

Some interesting data on the ‘state’ of Illinois. There are more people on welfare in Illinois than there are people  working.

Chicago pays the highest wages  to  teachers than anywhere else in the U.S. averaging $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income.  Wow, are Illinois and  Chicago  great or what?  Be sure to read till the end.  I’ve never heard it explained better.

Perhaps the U.S. should  pull out of Chicago?  Body count: In the last six months, 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; 221 killed in  Iraq; AND Chicago has one  of the strictest gun laws in the  entire US.

Here’s the Chicago chain of command:  President Barack Hussein Obama. Senator Dick Durbin . House Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. Governor Pat Quinn.  House leader Mike Madigan, Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike), Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The leadership in Illinois? All Democrats. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago. Of course, they’re all blaming each other.

Can’t blame Republicans, there aren’t any!

Let us get ALL the facts out while we are at it: Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.

George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in prison. He was replaced by Rob Blagojevich who is, that’s right, also in prison.

And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned, and that’s right, he and his wife both are in prison also.

The Land of Lincoln: where our Governors and Representatives make our license plates.  What?

As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke before the country does.

Anybody who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.

Don’t forget Detroit, another great example of a Democratic empire.

OKLAHOMA may soon have plenty of new residents!

Oklahoma is the only state that Obama did not win even one county in the last election…While everyone is focusing on Arizona’s new law, look what Oklahoma has been doing!!!

An update from Oklahoma:

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9 an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values… HB 1330

 Guess what… Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma  recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered.

HB1804. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.

 Guess what… Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to  the Oklahoma database, for criminal  investigative  purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional SB 1102

 Guess what… Oklahoma did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. Joining Texas, Montana and Utah as the  only states to do so.

More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina’s, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi and Florida. Save your Confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again. HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.  I’m sure that was a setback for the criminals.  The  Liberals didn’t like it — But….

 Guess what… Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL drivers’ license exams will be printed in English, only English, and no other language. They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of  the road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English. Really simple.  By the way, the Liberals don’t like any of this either

The government is now  referring to our Social Security checks as a   Federal Benefit Payment.

This isn’t a benefit  it. It is earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but  our employers did too.

It totaled 15% of our  income before taxes .

If you averaged $30K  per year over your working life, that’s close to $180,000 Invested in Social  Security .

If you calculate the  future value of your monthly investment in social security( $375/month,  including both your and your employers contributions) at a meager 1%  Interest  rate

compounded monthly,  after 40 years of working you’d have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved!

This is your personal  investment.

Upon retirement, if  you took out only 3% per year , you’d receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per  month .

That’s almost three  times more than today’s average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration

(Google it – its a  fact).

And your retirement  fund would last more than 33 years (until you’re 98 if you retire at age 65)! I  can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in  retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk  interest-earning accounts .

Instead, the folks in  Washington pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie  Madoff ever did.

They took our money  and used it elsewhere.

They forgot (Knew)  that it was OUR money they were taking.

But is it our fault  they misused our investments?

And now, to add  insult to injury, they’re calling it   a benefit,

as if we never worked  to earn every penny of it.

Cost to Operate a Chevy Volt     ……interesting

Eric Bolling (Fox Business Channel’s ‘Follow the Money’) test drove the  Chevy ‘Volt’ at the invitation of General Motors.

For four days in a row, the fully charged battery lasted only 25 miles before the Volt switched to the reserve gasoline engine. Eric calculated the car got 30 mpg including the 25 miles it ran on the battery. So, the range including the 9 gallon gas tank and the 16 kwh battery is approximately 270 miles.

It will take you 4 1/2 hours to drive 270 miles at 60 mph. Then add 10 hours to charge the battery and you have a total trip time of 14.5 hours. In a typical road trip your average speed (including charging time) would be 20 mph.

According to General Motors, the Volt battery holds 16 kwh of electricity. It takes a full 10 hours to charge a drained battery. The cost for the electricity to charge the Volt is never mentioned so I looked up what I pay for electricity. I pay approximately (it varies with amount used and the seasons) $1.16 per kwh.

16 kwh x $1.16 per kwh = $18.56 to charge the battery. $18.56 per charge divided by 25 miles = $0.74 per mile to operate the Volt using the battery. 

Compare this to a similar size car with a gasoline engine that gets only 32 mpg. $3.19 per gallon divided by 32 mpg = $0.10 per mile.

The gasoline powered car costs about $15,000 while the Volt costs  $46,000 ……..

And we haven’t even touched on the ridiculous inefficiency of the battery output in cold weather! (we don’t get that much cold weather to worry about, do we?)

So the Government wants us to pay 3 times as much, for a car that costs more than 7 times as much to run, and takes 3 times longer to drive across the country …..

The Americans With No Abilities Act (ANAA)

President Barack Obama and the Democratic Senate are considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many more Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambition.

“Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society,” said California Sen. Barbara Boxer. “We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability (POI) to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.”

In a Capitol Hill press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. At the state government  level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons with No Ability (63 percent).

Under the Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million mid-level positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability (POI) into middle-management positions, and give a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.

Finally, the Americans With No Abilities Act contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, “Do you have any skills or experience that relate to this job?”

“As a non-abled person, I can’t be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them,” said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Mich., due to her inability to remember righty tighty, lefty loosey. “This new law should be real good for people like me. I’ll finally have job security.” With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Sen. Dick Durbin, II: “As a senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great Nation and a good salary for doing so.”

Earlier this week, McConnell gave President Obama a blank check. Once again he caves to the left, and voted to break conservative filibuster on debt ceiling…

 The Senate had the ability to stop a ‘clean’ debt ceiling hike (increasing our borrowing limit with no spending cuts) by standing firm, like Sen. Cruz was

working to do, and filibuster this awful bill that spends and borrows more money with no concessions.

But that didn’t happen. Why?

 ‘Leader’ Mitch McConnell provided the key vote to block a filibuster and grease the skids for this blank check to go straight to President Obama’s desk.

 Wow.

Not only did he provide the key vote for this to happen, he was actively whipping other GOP Senators, encouraging them to switch their votes from ‘no’ to ‘yes!’

 After McConnell and his big-government leadership colleagues had gotten enough GOP senators to cave, he cast his own ‘yes’ vote. Forty minutes after most senators had voted.

 This is a complete abdication of leadership.

But that’s not the end of the story.   

 Just 18 days ago, on January 26, Mitch McConnell went on Fox News and called a clean debt ceiling bill ‘unreasonable’ and ‘irresponsible.’

But yesterday, he flip-flopped, leading the charge to do just that.

This is the statement Matt gave yesterday after he saw the vote:

“This latest debt ceiling increase, passed with no spending concessions, is financially reckless.

 “Republican leadership in the House failed us. Yesterday, instead of addressing the root causes of our spending and debt, they simply charged even more to our $17 trillion credit card.

 “I applaud the brave House Republicans that stood against this terrible bill. As Kentucky’s U.S. Senator, I would vote against cloture on this bill and I would actively voice my opposition to this bill itself. True leadership is demanded at a time like this.

 “Despite his 30 year record of always supporting reckless debt increases, I challenge Mitch McConnell to seriously consider what is at stake for future generations. I challenge him to vote against another blank check and to unite Senate Republicans in doing the same.”

WHEN -his voting record in the Illinois Senate and in the U.S. Senate came into question, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he refused to wear a flag lapel pin and did so only after a public
outcry, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -people started treating him as a Messiah and children in schools were taught to sing his praises, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he stood with his hands over his groin area for the playing of the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he surrounded himself in the White House with advisors who were pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage and wanting to curtail freedom of speech to silence the opposition, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he said he favors sex education in kindergarten, including homosexual indoctrination, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -his personal background was either scrubbed or hidden and nothing could be found about him, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -the place of his birth was called into question, and he refused to
produce a birth certificate, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he had an association in Chicago with Tony Rezko- a man of
questionable character and who is now in prison and had helped Obama to a sweet deal on the purchase of his home – people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -it became known that George Soros, a multi-billionaire Marxist, spent a ton of money to get him elected, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he started appointing White House Czars that were radicals,
revolutionaries, and even avowed Marxist /Communists, people said it

WHEN – he stood before the Nation and told us that his intentions were to “fundamentally transform this Nation” into something else, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – it became known that he had trained ACORN workers in Chicago and served as an attorney for ACORN, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed cabinet members and several advisers who were tax cheats and socialists, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed a Science Czar, John Holdren, who believes in forced abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies from teen mothers, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed Cass Sunstein as Regulatory Czar who believes in
“Explicit Consent,” harvesting human organs without family consent and allowing animals to be represented in court, while banning all hunting, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed Kevin Jennings, a homosexual and organizer of a group called Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Education Network as Safe School Czar and it became known that he had a history of bad advice to teenagers, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed Mark Lloyd as Diversity Czar who believes in curtailing free speech, taking from one and giving to another to spread the wealth, who supports Hugo Chavez, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -Valerie Jarrett, an avowed Socialist, was selected as Obama’s Senior White House Advisor, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, said Mao Tse Tung was her favorite philosopher and the person she turned to most for inspiration, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed Carol Browner, a well-known socialist as Global Warming Czar working on Cap and Trade as the nation’s largest tax, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as Green Energy Czar, who since had to resign when this was made known, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN- Tom Daschle, Obama’s pick for Health and Human Services Secretary could not be confirmed because he was a tax cheat, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – as President of the United States, he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he traveled around the world criticizing America and never once talking of her greatness, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – his actions concerning the Middle East seemed to support the
Palestinians over Israel, our longtime ally, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he took American tax dollars to resettle thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to the United States, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he upset the Europeans by removing plans for missile defense system against the Russians, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he played politics in Afghanistan by not sending troops early-on
when the Field Commanders said they were necessary to win, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay it off, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it to pay off organizations, unions, and individuals that got him elected, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc., people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it
under government control, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he claimed he was a Christian during the election and tapes were later made public that showed Obama speaking to a Muslim group and ‘stating’ that he was raised a Muslim, was educated as a Muslim, and is still a Muslim, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN -he set into motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN-he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State, people woke up— but it was too late. Add these up one by one and you get a score that points to the fact that Barrack Hussein Obama is determined to turn America into a Marxist-Socialist society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this do an Internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a happier ending for most of America?
Don’t just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. We all need to
pull together or watch the demise of a free democratic society. we need to seek the truth and take action for it will keep us FREE. Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, North Korea or Iran. Our biggest enemy is our complacent selves. The government will not help, so we need to do it ourselves.
